In this article, it talks about how beginning in January Arizona State will begin to offer more shorter classes to students at Arizona State University. They are gonna be doing this because it will give the students more flexibility with their schedule when they work and other things. Also, it will help the students finish the course faster, graduate quicker and they will have to pay less tuition. ASU believes that by them doing this, it will draw more students to go there. In detail, the courses that are shorter are gonna be fifty minutes long and the classes will be going three times a week. To me, this article really got attention right away. As a student reading this, I believe this is a great idea what ASU is gonna start next semester. Right now, I am taking a fifty minute class and I go three times a week which is exactly what ASU is gonna start doing. This will affect me greatly but in a good way because I will be attending Arizona State in the next few years.

This article did sound like a good idea to me as well but once I really thought about it, it seems like a student would have to work twice as hard in order to keep their grades up and maintain a good GPA. Some students understand a lesson after the first lecture while others may still have questions, while the ones who are still confused they would then have to learn another confusing lesson because they were only able to spend a few days on the first one. I guess it is both a good and bad idea for other students.
